The Little Boy, Who Was Precious by Reagan M. Chesnut

The Little Boy, Who Was Precious - Reagan Chesnut
What were the main relationships explored in this book? Parents, grandparents and the “precious little boy” who any reader will fall in love with by the end of the book. The writer gently shows a child being apart from his parents and how he has to deal with this in the most adventurous of ways. The writer should think about making this into a series, “The Little Boy Who Was Precious and ….”

What I liked about the book … I liked the story flow and the idea but I did feel as if the sentences were too long for some age groups. It started off like a book for a child learning to talk as the theme also indicates. However, after the first quarter of the book, the sentences are long with multiple commas.

Favourite character(s) … Grandma was easy to connect with. We never stop being parents and as we look forward to spoiling the next generation, she was trying everything she could think of to make the temporary separation from his parents a little better.
